Around 1930, Edwin Lowe, a toy salesman observed the game of Beano being played at a carnival in Georgia. The game was played using dried beans, this being the reason why the game was called beano, a rubber numbering stamp and a card board. Lowe liked the game and once he got back home he created his own. He started to play it with his friends that loved it and the legend says one player mistakenly called “Bingo” instead of “Beano”. This is the modern version of bingo game. In just few years the game was being played all over the country, especially in church fundraisers. Currently there are over 15 forms of bingo games, but all of them have the same main characteristics: drawn numbers, printed cards and of course the winner calling out ”Bingo!”. The popularity of bingo games is higher than ever. Due to the internet extensive growth from the recent period of time, bingo gains new fans each day. If back in 2004 the number of sites that offer bingo games was 17, now there are many more bingo sites to choose from, the number reaching over 250. Not all of them are trustable offering the best quality services so if you want to play bingo do it mainly at the most popular ones like: Ladbrokes Casino, Platinum Play and Europa Casino. |

The ancestor of the modern Bingo game is a lottery type of game called "Lo Giuoco del Lotto d'Italia" that was very popular in Italy around 1530. The game spread throughout Europe in different forms and in the 19th century reached North America.
