The final table prize pool was over $ 4,120,000. The runner up was Daniel Negreanu, who played heads up nearly 5 hours with Shulman. Negreanu holds 4 WSOP Bracelets and won $790,000 for his second place. Adding his new prize, Negreanu is now the number one in the poker's all-time leading money winners list with $ 12,427,047. Barry Shulman is former real estate developer and owner of Card Player Magazine. He is also the father of Jeff Shulman, which qualified for 2009 WSOP Main Event final table. If he wins the Main Event, it would be for the first time in the poker history that both, father and son, win WSOP bracelets. James Akenhead, the first player out of the WSOP Europe 2009 Final Table, is also qualified for the 2009 WSOP Main Event Final Table, so on November will face Shulman’s son and seven more top players for his share of over $27 million prize pool and the WSOP bracelet. |

The WSOP Europe 2009 Final Table brought together nine exceptional poker players: James Akenhead, Praz Bansi, Chris Bjorin, Matt Hawrilenko Jason Mercier, Daniel Negreanu, Markus Ristola, Antoine Saout and Barry Shulman. It took 15 hours for Barry Shulman to win the final table of the tournament and the $1,300,000 prize. This is Shulman’s first WSOP Bracelet.
