New PKR look - the best got better

PKR, the 3D poker room released a major software update which adds even more excitement to the game. This new update focuses on the community side of the game and adds a brand new front end which looks really cool. When you start the game a portal-like interface appears where you can select the games you want to play (poker, deal or no deal, mini-roulette, casino hold’em or blackjack), edit your avatar, see your friends, read the latest PKR news and manage your account.

The feeling is also changed, with a pleasant ambiance music that is extremely relaxing. The social part of the game has improved a lot. You can now see what your friends are doing or tag players to follow them and see where they are playing. It’s much easier now to follow the fish to their tables, or to interact with your friends. The friends menu looks really good, and so does the whole new PKR portal. Another nice addition is the new dressing rooms, which are unlocked while you achieve higher PKR club membership levels.

The new ‘games menu’ allows the possibility to uninstall some of the PKR games, like the mini-roulette or blackjack games, so that poker players who want to avoid gambling their money while on tilt can remove this games from their client, just to avoid temptation.

Once you decide to head to the poker games you will find the classic PKR lobby with the same tough music that raises your adrenaline. Although the update was focused on the front end portal, there are some new additions to the game too. The chips move more realistic on the table, spreading around when a player throws them in the middle. Setting the right resolution from the video options menu will also improve the graphics of the game.

Overall, I can say that this update has changed the way PKR looks a lot, and to the better. The new menus are very easy to navigate and look really nice, and I’m sure there will be much more new additions in the near future.
