Next NAPT Event: Mohegan Sun

The first stop of the North American Poker Tour (NAPT) was between January 5th and 14th at Atlantis Resort in Bahamas.   Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure winner was Harrison Gimbel from Florida who won $2.2 million. In February, Tom Marchese from New Jersey won the NAPT Venetian Main Event collecting $827,648. The NAPT Venetian High Roller Bounty Shootout was won by Ashton Griffin from Florida, who collected $560,000.

After the first two stops, one in the luxurious Bahamas and one in the famous Las Vegas, the third will be on the east coast, at Mohegan Sun located in Uncasville, CT. The five days Main Event will start on April 7th and will bring to tables several Team Poker Stars Pros like Daniel Negreanu, world champion Joe Cada, Vanessa Rousso and Chad Brown. The special host of the event will be Joanna Krupa, the model that competed in season 9 of “Dancing with the Stars”.

The Main Event has a $4,700 + $300 entry fee and is expected to gather more than 600 players. Besides the Main Event, there will be another High Roller Bounty Shootout (during two days) with a buy-in of $25,000 + $600. Other side events include a $300 “Ladies only” tournament, a $1,100 buy-in tournament with a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool and other smaller tournaments and satellites.

Multi-table Step 1 & Step 2 Satellites to the NAPT Main Event are scheduled daily starting March 27th through April 11th. The Step 1 Super Satellite has a buy-in of $210 + $20 and the Step 2 has an entry fee of $1,000 + $50. The Mohegan Sun Casino will be the host of a real poker festival with a total of 37 poker events in 16 days.

A special Super Satellite Bounty Shootout qualifying tournament on Sunday, April 11th, with a buy-in of only $5,000 + $250, will give many players an opportunity to enter the High Roller Bounty Shootout event. At the Mohegan Sun Super Satellite tournament, Poker Stars guarantees ten $25,600 entries and added another $51,200 (2 entries) to the prize pool.
