| Aggressive play at low stakes poker tables |

Great deal of online rooms operate with low stakes games as the conventional brick and mortar casinos typically play high stakes due to overhead costs involved. Online sites operate at much lower costs so they can afford to spread these low stakes games. Aggressive plays in low stakes poker can be a fairly high-risk affair as the amounts involved are pretty low. However, when the amounts involved are low, losing does not affect you much. Subsequently playing with aggression in a low stakes player, you need to think wisely and gauge the other players’ mindset. An aggressive player either wins the pot or he is eliminated quickly because they usually bluff their way into a game. By bluffing and raising bets, they tend to force other small players to fold. This strategy works out but not always. Low limit games are not a place to bluff, as the amounts involved do not scare people into folding. Due to low bets involved, naive players and amateurs tend to push their chips even with mediocre hands. A certain level of skill and solitaire is required to cope up with these kinds of players. Overtly enterprising players end up with a bad hand and blank bankroll at showdown. Weak opponents against the belligerent players tend to call any pair, an ace or any other high. Therefore, bluffing against them is virtually out of the question. When you are faced with some over aggressive player at the table, the best strategy is to have patience and wait for your cards. When you have a good hand, you can take the player down like nine pins. Low limit poker demands you to play with a certain strategy and not being aggressive all the time, as it will not help your cause. People tend to relax while playing low limit poker and those who hold their guard often take the booty. Low limit games are for ameliorating your proficiency and formulating new strategies. Poker game is highly dependent on chance and the kind of hand you have. It is the best hand at showdown that wins and not the best hand when the cards are dealt. While high stakes call in for an aggressive play to make opponents crumble under pressure, low stakes poker is ideally a game of patience more than aggression. |
