Waiting for the new football season' start

Waiting for the new football season' startCurrently the king of all sports, football, has a well deserved break. After a very exciting UEFA Champions League competition and a sensational World Cup competition, both athletes and supporters needed the short break.

The last football season crowned Internazionale Milano as the Queen of Europe and Spain as the Queen of the World. At first, when Jose Mourinho came to Inter in 2008 no one believed in him, but two years later he proved to be the best.

In just two years he created a team that won all: the Scudetto (Italian championship), the Coppa Italia (Italian Cup) and the Champions League. Inter is the first Italian team in the history that won all three trophies completing the Treble.

Unfortunately, Mourinho decided to leave Inter and accepted the Real Madrid’s proposal. The presence of the “Special One” in the Spanish championship will definitively make things more interesting. Real Madrid didn’t win any trophy in the past two years, losing the championship against Barcelona each time. The last time Real Madrid won the Champions League Cup was in 2001-2002, so Mourinho will have a hard job if he wants to achieve the same results as he managed with Inter.

After winning the European Championship in 2008, Spain was one of the favorites at the 2010 World Cup competition. They started with a defeat in the first group stage match against Switzerland and did not impress during the competition. Spain managed to win The World Cup by scoring only 8 goals meanwhile receiving 2 goals.

Now, during the season’s break, everyone is talking about transfers. The sports news are full of transfer gossip and speculations, but not for long. The new season is about to begin so the real football action will be back soon. Some bookmakers like Ladbrokes and Expekt, already posted their odds for league winners, Champions League 2011 winner and even for European Championship 2012 winner, so you can already start betting on your favorites.
